Jim Beam bourbon undergoes distillation at lower temperatures and is distilled to no more than 62.5%, the White label is aged for four years and has quite a high percentage of rye in the mashbill.

For more than 60 years, legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell has been crafting Wild Turkey 101 the right way. With a high rye content, this iconic bourbon is perfectly aged in American White Oak barrels with the deepest char for more character. Classic caramel and vanilla, with notes of honey and oranges. The finish is very long, rich and full-bodied, powerful, yet soothing. A great full-flavoured bourbon whiskey.

Introduced in 2011, Wild Turkey 81 Proof was created by Associate Master Distiller Eddie Russell. For a spicy kick, Eddie uses the Wild Turkey famous high-rye mash bill. He then ages the whiskey for 6-8 years, longer than any other whiskey in this “weight class”, in hand-selected American oak barrels with the famous #4 “alligator char” to get the most flavor from each barrel.
Eddie designed 81 to be a mellower counterpart to the 101 – and while it stands tall on its own, it really shines in a mixed drink like a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned.
