WILD TURKEY 81 “KENTUCKY STRAIGHT” – 750MLIntroduced in 2011, Wild Turkey 81 Proof was created by Associate Master Distiller Eddie Russell. For a spicy kick, Eddie uses the Wild Turkey famous high-rye mash bill. He then ages the whiskey for 6-8 years, longer than any other whiskey in this “weight class”, in hand-selected American oak barrels with the famous #4 “alligator char” to get the most flavor from each barrel.
Eddie designed 81 to be a mellower counterpart to the 101 – and while it stands tall on its own, it really shines in a mixed drink like a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned.
