CHATEAU GRAND VILLAGE 2017 – 750MLChâteau Grand Village Bordeaux is an unique wine that far exceeds its Bordeaux Supérieur appellation level and the Guinaudeau family cherishes it every bit as much as they do in its more illustrious stablemate Château Lafleur. The vineyards are worked by the same team and with the same meticulous care and attention to detail that are seen in the great Pomerol vineyard. The grapes (predominately Merlot with the addition of Cabernet Franc) are carefully selected according to the quality of the harvest and only the best fruit is retained.
This red wine is delicious in its youth, yet has a surprising longevity and is normally at its peak around 3-6 years after harvest, depending on vintage.

CHATEAU GRAND VILLAGE BLANC 2018 – 750MLA very fine, intense white Bordeaux from the Guinaudeau family of Chateau Lafleur fame in Pomerol. A blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon – the Sauvignon Blanc component originating from a clone in Sancerre that produces a less varietal and more nuanced wine.
Restrained and quite savoury on the nose at first, bursting into life on the palate with an electric mix of white currant and citrus fruit, fused with more mineral tones of dry stones and salt characteristics. The Semillon adds some structure and body to the wine, as well as adding to the flavour profile with a ripe nectarine touch as well as complex herbal element.
Mouth-watering and complex.

Vinification take progress in the tradition, same as the great Bordeaux châteaux. First, they pick the grapes at perfect maturity. Secondly, to facilitate the extraction of the tannins, they thermo-vinify the grapes immediately upon arrival in the winery. Finally, they allow the extravagant aromas to express themselves to their full capacity. Last but not least, temperature is well controlled during fermentation. As a result a great Bordeaux wine take essence worthy of a Grand Cru.
Medium deep ruby red with a youthful purple hue. Floral nose offering crushed red berries, cassis and a mild spiciness. The palate has medium weight with a supple texture and ripe tannin, a gentle hint of wood and butterscotch with soft red fruit flavours and a rounded finish. ”
