Of an intense carmine-red colour, this Montes Classic Series Merlot has a potent complexity of aromas. The primary notes impact with a pool of aromas derived from the contact with French oak. Notes of dulce de leche, candy, vanilla, and a hint of spice mix together with ripe fruit such as black plum, blackberry, and a little red pepper. The wine is friendly on the palate with medium body, well-assembled tannins, and a nicely balanced acidity. The sensation of fruit and oak combine well on the palate, leading to a long finish.

This wine comes partly from Piedra Lisa vineyard and the other part, the Syrah, comes from a 16-year-oldvineyard, located in the rolling hills of Bellavista area also in Itata Valley.
