CHATEAU LA TOUR HAUT BRION 2004 – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)
CHATEAU LA TOUR HAUT BRION 2004 – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)Château La Tour Haut-Brion was a small property of 5 hectares tucked neatly next to La Mission Haut-Brion (and almost out of site). Its vines were originally planted in the 16th century by the noble Rostaing family – one of the very first non-clerical producers of quality wine in Bordeaux – and the estate was known as “La Tour de Rostaing and La Tour d’Esquivens”. It was not known as La Tour Haut-Brion until the 19th century. The estate passed through a series of owners until it found new owners in 1935, brothers, Fernand and Henri Woltner, the then owners of neighboring La Mission Haut-Brion and Laville Haut-Brion. In the 1953 during the Grave Classification, La Tour Haut-Brion was rated as a Cru Classé. It was eventually sold to Clarence Dillon, owners of both Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion in 1983. Prior to this time, it was considered the second wine of La Mission but was made in its own right. The 2005 vintage was the last to be made as it was decided that its grapes would be integrated into either La Chapelle Haut-Brion, La Mission’s second wine, or La Mission itself once the vines received a certain age or quality.
The 2004 has a smooth richness, coupled with a restrained delicacy that belies that the power of the dense tannins at the core. The aftertaste, though, is more soft and seductive.

CHATEAU LAFITE ROTHSCHILD 2008 – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)
CHATEAU LAFITE ROTHSCHILD 2008 – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)The 2008 Lafite-Rothschild is one of the few wines that’s still obviously closed and backward, yet nevertheless shows incredible potential. Made from a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc (whiclis more Merlot than normal), it offers textbook Lafite elegance and class in its perfume of lead pencil, cedarwood, cigar smoke, and mineral-laced black fruits.
Playing in the medium to full-bodied spectrum, it’s deceivingly concentrated and powerful due to its perfect balance and purity as well as weightless texture.

CHATEAU LAFITE ROTHSCHILD 2012 – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)
CHATEAU LAFITE ROTHSCHILD 2012 – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)The classically styled 2012 exhibits attractive elegance, medium body and outstanding concentration, but not the complexity and depth or prodigious qualities of many other recent Lafites. It is a relatively soft. spicy effort displaying notes of crushed rocks, white chocolate, black currants and graphite. It should be drinkable in 5-8 years and last for two decades.
Charles Chevalier was candid in saying that the tropical heat wave, along with the poor flowering resulted in intense labor in the vineyard and during the harvest where triage was the operative word, and had to be done thoroughly and consistently. The 2012 Lafite Rothschild, a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8.5% Merlot and 0.5% Petit Verdot, was the result of a harvest that took place between September 28 and October 9 for the Merlot, October 9-16 for the Cabernet Sauvignon. The small amount of Cabernet Franc included in the Carruades de Lafite was harvested on October 11 – 12. Only 38% of the production made it into the grand vin. If the 2012 fills out completely it could turn out similar to the 1998 Lafite.

CHATEAU LAFITE ROTHSCHILD 2014 – 750ML
CHATEAU LAFITE ROTHSCHILD 2014 – 750MLThe Château Lafite-Rothschild 2014 is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, picked from 22 September until 10 October with the Petit Verdot, the Cabernet finished two days earlier.
The Grand Vin is adorned with surprising richness and opulence on the nose: layers of ripe black plum and juniper, fine definition with even a hint of fig developing with continued aeration. After 5 minutes it turns volte face and becomes much more graphite and cedary – more Pauillac in essence. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin, a potent core of black and blue fruit with a bullish (for Lafite) peacock’s tail on the finish.

Deep, powerful and bold, it possesses remarkable richness in all of its dimensions. Ripe red cherry, spice, leather, tobacco and rose petal all develop in the glass, but it is the wine’s sheer amplitude today that is quite remarkable. It will need quite a bit of cellaring to be at its best, and is clearly built to age. This is a terrific showing from the Cazes family. CHATEAU LYNCH BAGES PAUILLAC 2015 – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)This is powerful and deep with high but careful extraction and firm tannins. At this stage it feels so much younger and more closed than almost anything else from this vintage in Pauillac. This is going for a firm, impressive impact and it manages it, but it lacks some generosity in the fruit character that it has in spades in 2016. 2% Petit Verdot. 75% new oak. One-third malolactic fermentation in vats, two-thirds in barrel.

CHATEAU MONTROSE 2011 – 750ML
CHATEAU MONTROSE 2011 – 750MLIn the vineyard, the work was hard and intense; incessant attention and unrelenting efforts were required to ensure that the grapes reached full maturity. In the cellar, the vinification of each vat was carefully monitored and controlled in order to extract ripe, precise, and very silky tannins.
Balance is always a good thing, present all around us in nature. In addition to balance, we have sought to express through the wine freshness, fine aromatic qualities, and precise, well defined, yet supple tannins thus revealing the best of the wonderful terroir which is Chateau Montrose.

CHATEAU MOUTON ROTHSCHILD 2012 – 750MLThe intensely ripe Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the plateau at Mouton has produced an inky/purple-colored wine with the famous Mouton creme de cassis and floral characteristics vividly displayed. For the first time in a number of years they appear to have outdistanced their cross street rival, the biodynamically farmed Chateau Pontet Canet of Alfred Tesseron. Wonderfully sweet tannins envelop the enormous fruit and extravagant richness of this full-bodied Mouton Rothschild. With profound density as well as surprisingly sweet tannin.

CHATEAU MOUTON ROTHSCHILD 2013 – 750ML
CHATEAU MOUTON ROTHSCHILD 2013 – 750ML2013 will be remembered for its changeable and capricious weather. A cold and damp winter followed by a cool and wet spring held back the vegetation cycle and affected flowering. In striking contrast, July and August were particularly hot and sunny, with considerably less rainfall than the average. Peak temperatures of 38° C caused violent storms in late July.
The colour is an intense, deep red with a crimson tint.Initially displaying black cherry, raspberry and blackberry aromas, the complex nose opens up with airing to develop spicy and delicately roasted notes.
From a clean, fresh and rich attack, the palate expands on suggestions of vanilla and chocolate, underpinned by tannins of great refinement. The firm and well-rounded structure reveals a long finish of profound aromatic intensity.

The 2009 Pavie has a very intense bouquet with ripe black plum, raspberry, kirsch and just a hint of cassis. It is controlled, well defined and unfurls nicely in the glass, exhibiting impressive purity. The palate is full-bodied with huge grip in the mouth. Powdered dark chocolate infuse the dark berry fruit, grippy tannins and an assertive, almost abrasive finish that will require a decade of bottle age.

CHATEAU PAVIE 2012 – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)This premier cru wine is adorned with a beautiful, deep violet color. The aromas are explosive, with smoky notes of roasted coffee and a range of rich, jammy black fruit typical of a great wine. Further signs of quality are evident on the palate, where a fresh attack and rich body are supported by elegant tannins that are very noticeable, yet fine. The mid-palate has an extraordinary volume and presence. The finish is long and flavorful, with a liveliness which gives balance to this wine made for long aging. Aromatically, the richness of this Pavie is already evident, but the wine’s texture requires time to polish tannins which are still immature. This is a wine whose greatness will become more evident in the future as time brings out the expression of its.

CHATEAU PAVIE 2013 – 750MLMade from a blend of Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (25%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Château Pavie 2013 is a “miracle” wine. Indeed, in 2013, half of its production will have been destroyed by a bad flowering. And despite this, Château Pavie 2013 remains one of the greatest successes of this vintage!
Château Pavie 2013 presents a beautiful deep purple color and reveals a bouquet of black fruits, blackcurrant cream, blackberries, undergrowth, earth as well as spice and oak notes in the background.
