Just as the desert vistas and avant-garde architecture of the Middle East are woven into a rich cultural tapestry, the Royal Salute 21 Year Old Desert Jewel Edition blend is an intricate balance of flavours and notes that capture the centuries old Arabic tradition with hints of contemporary boldness.
This bespoke blend was fully finished in Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks, inviting an aromatic and richly spiced character which echo the flavours of the Middle East. These exotic flavours are luxuriously enhanced with notes of sticky dates and honeyed dried plums, rendering tribute to the delights of Arabic culinary tradition.
NOSE:
Sweet cranberries, glazed cherries, stewed apples, cinnamon buns and almond praline with intense spiced noted; namely freshly-grated nutmeg and cinnamon.
PALATE:
Mango slices, blood orange, sticky dates, treacle tart, marzipan drops, orange zest followed by warming ginger, pink peppercorns and sweet, oak spice.
FINISH:
Rich and velvety smooth with enduring notes of ginger.
