VT4 – THE PARING CHARDONNAY 2018 – 750ML

This is a wonderfully rich and complex single malt. Opening with rich and spicy aromas of crème brulee, heather honey and crumbled cinnamon, intensely fruity notes follow – fresh pineapple dressed with a scattering of sun-kissed lemon zest. There’s a hint of freshly-baked sponge cake too, warm from the oven, and you’ll find cinnamon again, but toasted shards this time. Citrus and vanilla notes linger in the aromatic waves of peat smoke.

To create 15 Year Old Viking Heart, Gordon Motion, our Master Whisky Maker, selected predominantly sherry seasoned European oak casks to deliver warm, spicy notes and sherry seasoned American oak casks to provide a balance of sweet vanilla. Expertly adding just a few refill casks to soften and smooth the flavours, Gordon chose to bottle at 44% ABV to allow the whisky’s vibrant fruitiness and distinctive heathery peat smoke to shine through.

A delicate balance is achieved by the skillful blending of mellow grain whiskies and slightly peated malts. With impressive floral aromas, this expression offers an extremely silky mouthfeel and fruity flavors that rise and expand, leaving behind a delightful aftertaste.

BLEND: One of the first small-batch certifled biodynamic reds in Chile, this blend strikes the right balance between the grapes and expresses Maipo Valley’s world-class terroir. With carmenere as the critical component, this wine presents great vitality and harmony. Deep yet delicate, gentle layers of aromas unfold, enhancing subtle spice notes on the palate.

AGING: 10% In egg-shaped concrete tanks for twelve months, 90% in French oak barrels for sixteen to eighteen months

A 38 year old expression from The Singleton of Glen Ord – you don’t see very many own bottlings from Glen Ord, let alone ones that have gone through such a lengthy ageing! This expression was initially matured in America oak barrels for 12 years, before being moved over to a selection of bourbon, Pedro Ximénez sherry, Oloroso sherry and new oak casks for a particularly long second maturation.

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most important grapes in Chile, especially in the Maipo Valley. The grape has adapted very well to the climate and historically brings great prestige to the wines created from it. 100% Cabernet, this approachable red was cultivated using Biodynamic practices to express its unique character and excellent balance. Lively palate shows ripe berries, pepper notes, and velvety tannins. Drink now and often!

If we learned anything from our Viking ancestors, it is that intensity is a virtue. With this in mind, Gordon Motion, the Master Whisky Maker, hand-selected almost identical quantities of first-fill sherry seasoned European Oak casks, first-fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and refill casks in this rare celebration of balanced intensity.

Created from just 15 casks, the first-fill casks impart the most prominent characteristics on to the whisky. The European oak casks bring vibrant spices and dried fruit while the American oak casks dial up the vanilla and citrus notes. This 21-Year-Old August 2019 Release is an incredibly intense yet balanced whisky.

Gingerbread, pineapple, softly salty wafts of sea air and dried peat earthiness. Palate: Vanilla builds on the palate, paired with salted butter, raisins, stem ginger and old oak. Finish: Baked orchard fruit, slightly flinty, dried herbs and coffee beans.

William Lawson’s Finest Blend Scotch Whisky is perfectly balanced, like great scotch should be. The Balvenie French Oak is a vibrant single malt finished in casks previously held wine from the French Charentes vineyards.

This is the first of The Balvenie finishes to explore French Oak. Pineau is akin to cognac in terms of production and flavour, allowing us to capitalise on the rise of this flavour profile and its premium credentials.

NOSE: Beautifully balanced light floral notes from lotus and geranium flowers dance between hints of fresh meadow grass and pealed apple skin.

TASTE: An energising zing from tangy lemon rind and grapefruit meet the delicate subtle sweetness of glazed fruits and spice from root ginger.

FINISH: Refreshingly concise.

This exquisite blend of grapes, stemming from four different harvests, showcases its strong personality through a symphony of fruits and a full-bodied, elegant presence. Singular in its expression of terroir, a revelation of the variety that nature offers from one year to the next. Réserve Rosé evokes romance and harmony.
