MERITXELL PALLEJÀ NITA – 750MLNita by Meritxell Palleja is a fantastic expression of the Priorat region and a wine which we instantly fell in love with. Unlike a lot of Priorat wines it is both soft, generous, and warming in the mouth without being over extracted or overwhelmed with oak flavours. The wine is a blend of 45% Grenache, 35% Carignan, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah which is fermented in a combination of stainless steel and cement tanks. It has gorgeous dark red fruit flavours, bramble fruit and beautiful spice notes. It is fresh on the finish and a wine than has been made with a lot of love and care.

MERITXELL PALLEJÀ TORRENT – 750ML100% Cariñena (Carignan) grapes. Torrent is a single varietal Carignan wine from the small boutique producer Meritxell Palleja, made from grapes harvested from a small parcel in Gratallops which is only 0.84 hectares in size. The grapes are de-stemmed, and macerated with two punching downs a day. Vinified in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeast then aged 13 months in new French oak barrels with an additional 12 months of bottle aging.
