Lagavulin brand is the definitive Islay malt, intensely flavoured, smoky and rich. All of Lagavulin’s distillate is made with heavily peat-smoked malt, giving its products that signature reek and pronounced maritime character. Lagavulin 8 Years is an Islay single malt that was originally released as Lagavulin 200^th Year Limited Edition in 2016. Due to massive success and popularity, the Lagavulin 8 Years have been added to the distilleries core range. Bottled at 48% ABV.

LAPHROAIG 10 Year Old is the original Laphroaig, distilled the same way today as when Ian Hunter invented it more than 75 years ago. It is the foundation of all other Laphroaig expressions.

In making Laphroaig, malted barley is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavour.

Those enjoying the 10 Year Old will first notice the bold, smoky taste, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. This full-bodied variant is the foundation of all Laphroaig expressions and comes with a long finish.

This is a 12 year old single malt produced at the Mortlach distillery in Speyside, unveiled in 2018 as part of a trio (including a 16 Year Old and a 20 Year Old). This particular expression features the subtitle The Wee Witchie, which comes from the name of the tiny still that distils a portion of the whisky. It’s drawn from bourbon and sherry casks, and packs a hearty punch of meaty Mortlach-y malt at its core, supported by dried fruit and toffee notes.

NOSE: A sticky fruit loaf with sultanas and dates, backed by a dry, heavy note.

PALATE: Smooth in texture with a strong, spicy and sweet flavour. Add a drop of water for a milder palate.

FINISH: Long, peppery and punchy.
