A vibrant plum colour. On the nose, its red mulberry and raspberry coulis are immediately observed. Blueberry, bramble and earthy elements are offered with a little more encouragement. Sweet paprika, possibly provided by supportive oak, overlays shiraz vibrancy and generosity. The palate offers a steely and slatey texture surprise. Tannins are sleek and supple and oak lies beneath spice and berries, almost providing the foundations for them to be layered on top of. A crunchy acidity that provides succulence.

Made as a traditional ‘Australian blend’, the Shiraz component provides fleshy fruit flavour while Cabernet provides a frame of fine grained tannins.

Bright and textural with ripe blood plums, dark cherry and blackberries — amplified by tones of vanilla bean creaminess and warm spice. Dried rosemary and sage give the wine a sense of earthiness. Fine, elegant tannins which frame and capture fruit depth providing length and balance.

Tasting Notes:
Colour: Plum core with strawberry brightness at the rim
Nose: Notes of graphite and heady varnish to the fore. A distinctive blue-fruited elegance and gorgeous cranberry sweetness. An aromatic kaleidoscope of vanilla sponge, cannoli creaminess, asphalt, wet slate, juniper and pink peppercorn.
Palate: Coolness/flowing texture. Spearmint tea (fresh leaves) and lavender. Graphite from the nose continues as a theme on the palate. Black olive tapenade, ylang ylang, powdery-style tannins that are tapered on the palate. All clearly converging to a well-defined point.
