In Tuscany, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay soils. The Brunello di Montalcino is an old world wine throughout, because this Italian exudes an extraordinary European charm, which clearly underlines the success of wines from the old world. After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the press house.
Here they are selected and carefully ground. The fermentation is then carried out at controlled temperatures, followed by maturation.
Experience this red wine from Italy ideally tempered at 15 – 18°C as a companion to rocket pine, chickpea curry or vegetable pot with pesto.

GAJA CA’MARCANDA MAGARI BOLGHERI DOP – 750MLMagari means ‘if only it were true!’, an expression used often in Italian to express desire, hope, and a vision of a bright future. Embracing, structured, voluptuous, and lively. The winter and springtime have been both marked by abundant and frequent rainfalls, thus creating the ideal water reserves for the growing season. However, thanks to the rainy spring and the accurate mulching the vines did not suffer the drought. Strong diurnal temperature exchanges during the ripening period, with picks of 12-15 °C, allowed a slow and even maturation of the grapes.
Due to the peculiar dryness of the season, the diseases pressure in the vineyard has been minimal, allowing the harvest of extremely healthy grapes. Magari’s international and widely appealing grape varietals offer a fresh approach to Italian wines and a lushness that is attractive to a broader wine drinker.
Glowing and intense colour. Polished, refined, focused and expressive, with notes of eucalyptus, pepper and pine. A typical notes of the local Mediterranean bushes and berries rise from the glass. Fine-grained tannins surround a sleek core of black cherry, blackberry and liquorice flavours, with nice fresh nuances gliding through a long and expressive finish. The harmony between vibrant acidity and refined tannins is a premise for an excellent aging potential.

GAJA CA’MARCANDA PROMIS TOSCANA IGT – 750ML (OUT OF STOCK)This wine derives from vine varieties that recall the French tradition and the historical incursions that characterized the territory called “Maremma” ; 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah and 10% Sangiovese. Different vineyards located between Bolgheri and Bibbiona are planted on dark soils rich of loam and clay. The wine making process requires that the grapes are managed separately, with a period of fermentation and maceration that lasts approximately 15 days. After 12 months aging in wooden barrels the three varieties are assembled and pass some months in the bottle. This excellent wine is easy to drink but, on the other hand, it has a great aromatic complexity.
The aspect reveals an intense and deep ruby red colour. The scent is concentrated, with hints of mature red fruits, integrated by tar, coffee, cloves, tobacco, liquorice and dark chocolate. The taste is rich, juicy and balanced, enriched by a good tannin. Long persistence.

This wine comes with great originality and complexity, with cigar box, cedar, Earl Grey, orange peel and cherry notes all found on the nose. The purity and sheer concentration of fruit shines through, and the oak is precisely judged. It is made beautifully soft textured and medium-bodied with balancing acidity. A long finish with firm and juicy tannins complementing its mineral character.

The good meteorological conditions of the vintage created an excellent concentration, benefitting the Merlot in particular, which shows its richer side. The depth of the fruit and the aromatic concentration provide an excellent balance to this wine. Light and fruity, while retaining a classic elegance, Song is a wine that personifies Bong. Thanks to silkiness of the tannins (the hallmark of Right Bank wine) Song is a wine that can be enjoyed young, but can easily age 10 to 15 years.
