A bright ruby red colour with tones of violet. The delicate nose offers exquisite aromas of red fruits including sour cherries and fresh strawberries as well as ­oral perfumes of roses, violets, and wild ­flowers. Subtle notes of fresh tobacco intermingle with candied aromas over a backdrop of dulce de leche (caramel). Generally smooth on the palate with rich acidity on the mid-palate that lends juiciness and heightens the fruit. The tannins are very smooth and round, and the weight on the palate lends character and structure to this Pinot Noir, leading to a long, elegant finish with abundant coastal-climate typicity.

Of an intense carmine-red colour, this Montes Classic Series Merlot has a potent complexity of aromas. The primary notes impact with a pool of aromas derived from the contact with French oak. Notes of dulce de leche, candy, vanilla, and a hint of spice mix together with ripe fruit such as black plum, blackberry, and a little red pepper. The wine is friendly on the palate with medium body, well-assembled tannins, and a nicely balanced acidity. The sensation of fruit and oak combine well on the palate, leading to a long finish.
