Aultmore 18 Year Old is a premium Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, part of John Dewar & Sons’ “Last Great Malts” series launched in 2014. It is known for its elegant, “ethereal,” and unpeated profile, drawing water from the Foggie Moss.

Maturation: Matured in a combination of American oak (bourbon) and refill sherry casks.

Presentation: Naturally colored and non-chill filtered.

Awards: Named “Best Whisky in Show” at the Spirit of Speyside Festival 2019 and a category winner at the World Whiskies Awards 2022.

Fully matured in sherry casks for 12 years, this Tomatin Single Malt is packed full of rich, decadent flavours. Caramelised apple and pear lead, balanced with a wonderful mix of sultana, orange peel, apricot and hints of aged leather. Deeper on the palate with notes of chocolate fudge and manuka honey, along with dried fruit and nut. The finish is warm and round with a sweet, cinnamon spice.

Old Pulteney Port is a wonderful marriage of flavours from two iconic spirits, both found close to the sea – single malt Scotch whisky from Wick in the Scottish Highlands, and Port from the Douro Valley of Northern Portugal. Carefully matured in second-fill ex-bourbon casks, the expression was then further matured in both hand-selected Ruby Port Pipes and Barriques, absorbing the rich flavours of the delicious, fortified wine. Like Old Pulteney, the creation of Port goes back centuries and plays a huge part in the history of its region.

The American oak casks, Ruby Port Pipes and Ruby Port Barriques come together beautifully, showcasing their coastal heritage and resulting in a stunning single malt, balanced with sweet and spicy notes and a touch of minerality, of which Old Pulteney is known for.

Palate flavors of marmalade, toffee apples, cherries, and cinnamon. Old Pulteney highlights its signature minerality and notes of baked apples and caramelized sugar.

The influence of the European oak is unmissable, with a touch of dryness balanced with the vibrancy of wood spices, smoked oak and roasted coffee. Barbeque sweetness and a crack of black pepper is complemented with rich fruit cake and dried fruits. A drop of water opens the smoke and fruity sweetness from the wine casks, bringing a beautiful balance as notes of apple and pear grow with the dram.

Octomore 14.2 uses the same barley varietal and is malted to the same PPM as the 14.1, but the liquids diverge profoundly with the influence of wine and sherry casks on the 14.2 spirit.

On the nose the Wee Beastie is recognisably an Ardbeg creation, meaty with fresh notes of sea and smoke, a second sniff giving black pepper and coffee. The palate is rich with plenty of bacon, chocolate and aniseed notes, followed by an incredibly long finish where the peat smoke shines through. This is a delicious addition to the Ardbeg range, but don’t just take it from us. Even brand new, it is picking up prestigious accolades, winning Best Single Malt Scotch under 10 years old at the International Whisky Competition.

Using the same batch of Scottish barley malted to the same 101.4ppm, the 16.2 has been housed in a fine selection of Oloroso and Bordeaux casks before being finished in Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel for a rich and complex flavour. Caramelised sugar, roasted nuts, and dried fruits abound, enveloped in sweet campfire smoke.
