The vineyards lie at the foot of the Andes Mountains, barely a thousand meters away from the Mendoza River. The vines receive fresh breezes descending from the mountains and blowing along the river, all of which contributes to the generation of wide temperature ranges. And so it is that Finca La Mascota finds itself set in perfect surroundings, and one the most renowned and prestigious wine-growing regions in Mendoza. This is the second highest-priced Malbec that produced in Maipu and has won Gold Medal from Decanter World Wine Awards 2014.

This wine comes with great originality and complexity, with cigar box, cedar, Earl Grey, orange peel and cherry notes all found on the nose. The purity and sheer concentration of fruit shines through, and the oak is precisely judged. It is made beautifully soft textured and medium-bodied with balancing acidity. A long finish with firm and juicy tannins complementing its mineral character.

It is deep, ruby-red in color, with medium-to-high aromatic intensity that offers a wide range of fruity aromas, predominantly fresh red fruits intermingled with notes of eucalyptus and menthol. The characteristic flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon on the palate are accentuated by an uncommon and extraordinary softness that reflects the typicity of Agrelo’s unique, distinctive terroir.

Intente, ruby-red colour, with glimpses of subtle, elegant violet. The very complex nose shows notes of ripe redcurrant, fresh plum, and red pepper, together with spicy notes of black pepper and clove. The concentration and structure are very balanced. On the palate freshness and bright acidity prevail, accompanied by a sensation of minerality that characterizes the grapes grown at high-altitudes and on rocky soils. The finish is long and elegant.
